    New Old Trinovids

Sorry dude, I don't think you are at all familiar with his site. What you're describing has no relation, in reality, to his reviews, photos, and articles. Please remember, it's you who are beating the drum. I thought you were an artist, Edmund. Rockwell is antithetical to art.

If you all are happy with Mr Rockwell's take on the world photographic then why should I try and dissuade you. Reading why a lens' sharpness doesn't matter and why one should always shoot at f8 along with red herrings like you really don't need an $8k camera to make good photos read rather...

No kidding guys. Has this guy been relevant, ever? Let alone in 2020.

Bob, come on. You seem to be determined to create or maintain confusion regarding the Retrovids. First, the 2017 version of these was/is mythology. Words on a page. After that, who cares what it's exact lineage is? The analogies to Cobras or any other modern reproduction are appropriate...

I like Retrovid. It's concise and I know what it means.

You're confusing me Dennis. Are the rubber versions not retro or are they too military looking? Never mind. I will say they are a most attractive bin to me, leather or rubber. Their form and configuration (7x35 versions) are right in my wheelhouse.

    New Old Trinovids

Me from post 208: "Nobody asked Jan to create that ad vehicle. The fact he owns it doesn't make his case more righteous than any other dealer." While that still may be the case, his decision to stop selling Leica is commendable based on his explanation in another thread...

HEAR, HEAR! That's kind of the bottom line isn't it? Bring on the 7x35s

    New Old Trinovids

Just playing Devil's advocate here, but zealotry doesn't necessarily make for righteousness. People get gung-ho for foreign wars, as an example, and people enlist out of some misguided form of patriotism. Later to find out they'd been lied to (shocking), there was no mission, and rich people...

    New Old Trinovids

:t: Folks around here did appear to be lining up to throw shade on Leica for this binocular;) We (collectively) seem to be imparting our values on Leica. Do people get as excited about where and how they can buy a certain Louis Vuitton bag? That specific Rolex watch? We want Leica to play by...

    New Old Trinovids

During the first go round of the "new, old Trinovids" I was pretty jazzed and would have been in line to buy a pair. Now, I have a wide field lightweight binocular that fills the niche the 1st version Trin would have, in the 8x42 Monarch HG. And now this? And the Leica still isn't waterproof...
