New RSPB AN Tripod (1 Viewer)

Bit of a late answer, but I got one of these yesterday from Titchwell, and it seems pretty good...sturdy enough but not that heavy, and £135 including the head is decent value.

It is a re-badged Viking tripod, made is China as you'd expect.

At last they have got rid of those dreadful twist grip leg locks. It looks good to me from the photo

But left the lovely, highly water absorbing and retentive foam padding ;)

On a more serious note, is it possible to 'lock' the fluid head with a single knob? When digiscoping I find that the ability to quickly lock it all in place is superior on a twist handle whereas the last fluid head I head needed two knobs to be locked down to hold it in place.
