2014 - Can I see 1000 species? (1 Viewer)

Absolutely excellent ending! (Drop the writers of 'The Missing' a line and explain to them what audiences want.) A mouth-watering selection of species.

All the best

So while I'm trawling through some pics in the library here's a few from the rainforest west of Brisbane:
1 Wompoo Fruit Dove
2 Noisy Pitta
3 King Parrot
4 Lewin's Honeyeater
5 Paradise Riflebird - in the top 10 for the year!

And the other nine are? o:D

James

Good question....

In no particular order I would have to say my first Albatross (Salvin's Mollymawk) or perhaps Wandering Albatross. My first Penguin (Yellow-eyed).
My first Pitta (Noisy), Red-necked Avocet, Tawny Frogmouth, Apapane, White Tern, Black Bee-eater, Shoebill.

I'd like to squeeze Nene in there too.....
Oh and Rwenzori Turaco
and um several others.....

And with many thanks to all for their help and encouragement along the way, special thanks to:
Chowchilla for the Atherton Tablelands trip
Dave Davies for the Werribee Wetlands drive
Mrs T for putting up with it all!
Niels for suggesting the Uganda trip
Valéry and Tib for the Uganda experience.
Many others along the way!

No worries Jon it was a pleasure, and you've seriously whetted my appetite for Uganda! So many lifers!

Belated congratulations; now you can relax over the holiday period as there's no longer any pressure to get to the 1K.:t:

:t: Thanks Jon. It has been a pleasure to be part of your challenge. I postponed my holidays for your trip, but it was worth it. I'm now in cloudy, wet Belgium, already missing nice nature and sunny weather of Uganda...
