A nice but distant view this morning of a few birds milling around some 1km offshore.
60. Cory’s Shearwater
Did you get a decent view of the underside of the primaries to rule out Scopoli's? :king:
Old habits dye hard Paul True they or one of them could have been - I've only ever seen one for sure and that was on a pelagic off Sagres at very close range and confirmed on excellent photos - not mine I must say.
Far from excellent photos of mine but that is where I have seen my only one.....
Not a split of which I am a fan!
I am intending to potter about on a boat in the Med at some point
All the best

Paul,
I had multiple birds (assuming Scopoli's so far from the Atlantic) following the ferry to the Greek island of Aegina, as well as small groups of Yelkouans.
Can't say I get too excited either :t: ...but as they are in different sea/oceans.
Back in France ...The worst of it is didn't bring any optics as thought I was only going to be here a day or two after driving the parents back from a month in the UK - now it looks like I'm going to be down a week and a bit to sort the garden out!
