Cool, that makes two of us NYers... saw one earlier this month at my feeder, probably a once in a lifetime sighting, since the bird's on the decline here in NY... poor thing, such a beautiful bird!
 
Oh, and The grey catbirds have been stopping by... they never really stopped by last year, so this year is back to normal, i suppose.

At dusk this evening, saw this really long-pointy-winged bird flying around almost as if it were a bat... possible nighthawk sighting? If so, a first for me, only thing is i don't know what the heck it was... all I saw was the flight and the silohuette...

Thankfully my car is now repaired but with my car off the road for over a week I was getting withdrawal symptoms. I just had to have a day out chasing and I managed to get four more year ticks.

Still celebrating Portsmouth's FA Cup triumph i agreed to an early start to Portland for the Olivaceous Warbler (no sign while we were there). However, excellent compensation with a lifer that i never expected (and we waited over 2 hours for it to show!)

Spring warbler migration seems to be slowing down, with new warblers becoming harder and harder to find. Today I birded in woodland and wetland/grassland so I had a good mix of birds. Eight new birds bring my Year List up to 384.

In addition to the birds listed above, I added Wilson's Warbler to my ABA Area and Indiana year lists, both of which are now at 185. (I had seen Wilson's Warbler in Honduras in March).

Was able to get Cliff and Bank Swallows around town in the last few days which puts my year list up to 174. Still missing Northern Rough-winged Swallow.
 
Flew down to Rockport for the weekend, and caught the tail end of a wave of migrants coming in over the Gulf. Actually got to see the Cuckoo come in while standing on the jetty a mile out into the ocean.
