Inglorous Bustard? Weymouth (1 Viewer)

Just watching a pair of birds which appear to be inglorious bustards ( Gambian?) feeding on neighbours apple tree.
Presumably escapes from an aviary- wonder if anyone else has seen these and knows where they have come from

Yes a classic Gambian bird name! Also a classic tropical bird - dark and drab at first sight but in fact gloriously coloured when you look closely and vivid scarlet underwing when it flies.

White-cheeked Turaco, an Ethiopian species so clearly an escape. Smart looking bird! But not a Bustard!

This bird has been knocking around Weymouth for a few months now

There were certainly two and I think maybe three (unless one managed to sneak unseen across the garden into the garden next door)
With the dull overcast day and them keeping well within the canopy of the apple trees they were remarkably well camouflaged despite strident colours in the detail.
