Need a tripod for Kowa 884 (1 Viewer)

My first post, though I've read and learned much here. I've recently purchased a new 884, and have been using it with my old tripod, Manfrotto 055xb/128rc, and am looking for something lighter. After considering many possibilities, I'm thinking of getting a set of Manfrotto 055cxpro3 legs and using the 128 head. I know there is a new MT version, but as it is nearly a pound heavier and a bit more expensive, I lean towards the older version. Since my old setup was not a great choice for my old scope, a Kowa 602, I figure to sell the old legs and get a lightweight tripod for the smaller scope.

Thanks in advance for any opinions/advice on this idea.
