In a serious vain-has ANYONE figured how to cross a very shallow stream without swimming???

This is why bins need to be water-proof.

Never assume that the bird in amongst the flock is a common or garden .....

Always check the flock carefully or forever it will always have been that common or garden ............

Always spend a good five minutes looking at a bird and try to memorise how it looks and acts before reaching for the field guide - as it may well be gone by the time by the time you raise your bins again.
