Puffins in summer: Gjesvær or Bleiksøya? (1 Viewer)

Thanks, I got a lot of information from Tormond at Biotope. I have another question, though. There doesn't seem to be a lot of guided tours on offer in Varanger. I contacted some companies which have webpages about birdwatching tours in Varanger, but they're not replying. I could just book the accomodation and go there birding on my own, but I'm worried that I'm going to miss the good spots despite all the advice Tormond gave me :( Is it hard to find birds there? I suppose seabirds should be easier, but I'm wondering if I will be able to find e.g. taiga birds on my own, without good local knowledge. I would be there only for a week or so, so I'd like to make the most of it. What do you advise?
