Hi Willow, I was at Palomarin in the mid and late 1990's, I met and occasionally birded with you father. I recall him visiting Palo' for pot luck evenings, (maybe you came along too, seem to recall you being around) I met him a few times out birding at sites in Point Reyes National Seashore, most often at a rather foggy lighthouse. I did a couple of pelagic trips out of Bodega Bay when he was aboard, the most memorable in 1994 when we got the Light-mantled (sooty) Albatross, the first record in the northern hemisphere. He was a top, top birder, and an all round nice and brilliant bloke (guy) and had wonderful way of imparting little gems of bird identification tips. I was very sad when I heard of his passing a few years ago from friends in Marin and still at PRBO (Point Blue). I still occasionaly keep in touch with friends from Palo' including Melissa, Geoff, Diana, Ryan, and others. I loved my time in West Marin, and Bolinas and would some day love to visit again.
