I recently bought a 7x30 B SLC with serial # starting with 60 and it is a mark I produced in 1990. I decided to get my own after reading some many good comments about them. Because of that, I did a lot of research regarding this model and its variatons. I understand the last 7x30 B was made was a mark III in 2001.

Today I saw an auction on ebay of a pair of 7x30 B mark I and the serial number is 7072142B. If you add 1930 to 70 is 2000.
If it was made in the year 2000 how can it be a mark I? It should be at least a Mark III.
