UK Dragonflies & Damselflies 2022 (1 Viewer)

There are a lot of current pics of Lesser Emperor from Tice's Meadow - must be a short drive for you John.
At least 2 still there on 16th July. I've seen records from NE London and the Norfolk Broads recently as well as the regular site at Longham Lakes in Dorset. Looks like a bit of a concerted attempt at colonisation to me!

Thanks for the Tices news, unfortunately with Farnborough air show on I'm the wrong side of town to get there. I'll think about how to do it though, weather's nice!

The boggy area at the Devon Wildlife Trust site at Bystock Pools was very dry last Friday, but lots of the usual keeled skimmers and small red damsels. Also a golden-ringed which refused to pose, a large red, and a few black-tailed skimmers sunning themselves on the heath.
