8390 Black-crowned Tanager (and now we're less than 30!)8389 Black-headed Tanager
8392 Philippine Leafbird (straw & leaves both come from plants. Yeah, it's a stretch, but it probably wouldn't get played otherwise).8391 Straw-backed Tanager
I'm down to less that 45, with probably some overlap with the others participating
Reckon you guys could certainly do with someone else joining inIs anyone else still in? Would be nice to make 8500
It'll be tough. Some of my remainder will be really tough to play.Is anyone else still in? Would be nice to make 8500

Is this the thread where you meant to post Dan?: https://www.birdforum.net/threads/bird-species-seen-just-the-once-in-your-yard-garden.404075/page-3Thinking about it, in France - Quail heard flying up from the patio as I went out to the caravan for the night, Little Ringed Plover calling from beside the pond and Scops Owl in the Eucalyptus were on the property (actually the latter just outside), and a Reed Warbler for several days in the hedge probably count.
This actually could have followed my Green-bellied Hummingbird quite well - Green/Verde!It seems like it.
Although it doesn't make any real difference, I have still one species that I could play, if no one else has seen it and runs off of species to play: Cape Verde Storm Petrel. I don't count it in my lifelist, but could use it for this game.
Saw it (one) in 1997 in Guinea-Bissau (from a sand islet on the Bijagós Islands, HERE); as the "Madeiran Storm-Petrel" multi-split was still far from happening I took notes of it but considered it just Oceanodroma castro (it was a first for Guinea-Bissau). Although it was together with 2 Leach's SP (also firsts for GB) I think the proximity to the Cape Verde archipelago makes jabejabe a more likely species...
If no one plays it I'll probably throw it in.
IMO that's pushing it. You go that far, and you might as well say "they're all birds.".... ummmm...... they've all got feathers, haven't they

There's some potentially low-hanging fruit for anyone who has been to Angola/Zambia/Tanzania. Also there are some Madagascan endemics left for anyone who has been there, particularly wetland stuff. @foresttwitcher seems to have posted some Malagasy stuff and might have some more to contribute.Reckon you guys could certainly do with someone else joining in
