One more

Last year I missed a big fallout of warblers at High Island because I had to finish my tax return. This year I finished the return early - but the fallout (of 24 warbler species) came on Friday, when I had to work! I went to Edith Moore sanctuary in Houston yesterday but the site was very quiet. The only new bird was:
152. Blue Grosbeak.

Not a great morning for birding, with almost constant spitting rain. However, I was able to add two new birds to my Year List, bringing it up to 349.

349. American Golden Plover

I also saw a Snowy Egret, which was a year tick for my ABA Area and Indiana year lists (number 126).

Though my list is slim by comparison to some of yours this has been a good year for me thus far. Its the first year I have deliberately gone birding in a long time. I have added...

Northern Pintail
Canvasback
Yellow-Bellied Sap Sucker
Common Goldeneye

Those were all within the last month and I have been able to see a lot of other birds who were already on my list but rare for me to see.

Left work a little early today and went birding for about an hour. Picked up a new bird for the year, bringing my Year List up to 351.

351. Cliff Swallow
