At Smithville Lake while trying to find the reported Mew Gull. (I had a "maybe" on the gull, but not good enough looks for a positive ID!)

Well a few more species have been reappearing on my local patch here in southern Spain, and not before time, I was beginning to worry about a few returning breeding species and regular spring migrants.

Migrants are starting to move in, but the height of migration is still about two weeks away. Today I added five new birds to my Year List, bringing it up to 356.

I am having nine days in Suffolk starting on the 19th April and have just stayed around Minsmere, apart for a quick drive to Winterton for the Black Lark. My year list has gone up quite nicely in the two days I have been here.
