The eyecup on almost all binoculars are not compatible with my face. I have deep set eyes with an IPD of 59-61. Before I never cared because I mostly played around with cheap binoculars and it didn't matter.
But now I am retired and want to throw down some bucks on a good pair. Most of the full size ones with the fat eyecup do not work for more than a few minutes before becoming uncomfortable. The resting it on the eyebrows does not work for me. I don't want to use my fingers as a spacer or float anything out in front of my eyes. I wear eyeglasses but do not like them on for binocular use.
I need something that will fit my eye sockets and not crush my nose. 30mm-45mm, 7,8, or 10x. I will consider anything at this point. I have a Nikon 8x32se and it has to go. The 10x35EII does work the best so far.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I don't know if I can be helped. I am thinking of trying a Swarovski habicht 7x42 or 10x40 as those eyecup might work for me. Also are the eyecups on the Kowa Genesis 8x33 smaller than the ones on their 8.5 and 10.5 x44 Genesis. Thanks.
