Your Most Recent "Life" Bird (3 Viewers)

I got to see my first Stonechat yesterday, a stunning male! It was great, the sun was out and the bird was giving great views on a fence not too far away. Really happy since I missed the Stonechat that turned up outside Uppsala a couple of months ago... but now I've seen one!

Red-faced Warbler at Madera Canyon in southeast Arizona a few weeks ago, the last morning I was there. Earlier the same morning I got my first Elegant Trogon, totally self-found even. Got about 25 other lifers during the trip, including Elf Owl and all the other warblers!

Finally a Vietnamese endemic I have been after for some time: Orange-breasted Laughing-thrush at Di Linh, Vietnam yesterday morning.

ashy tailorbird for me at the Krabi Mangrove Boardwalk. A fairly dull bird, but I did manage to get crackers like Gurney's Pitta and White-fronted Scops-owl earlier!

Crested Lark, missed the last one through working in Bristol at the time, whoo hoo, get-backs are always nice.

Class bird too, pity it wouldn't sit still a bit longer.

Off the mark in 2009 at last......

John

wryneck although they turn up quite often i miss them then i managed to see 1 at westleton what a stunning little bird i was chuffed to bits well worth the 20 odd year wait

Cetti's Warbler followed by Med gull about three weeks ago at Minsmere.
A bit late, but I've only just found this thread.
