In the grass beside the track where the Skylark was enjoying his bath, was a Yellowhammer, I'm sure he was wondering what was going on.

It had been a while since I'd seen them on the patch, so that day was sure turning into a red letter day LOL

I've a feeling they may be recovering from the slump in numbers which I'd noticed over the last ffew years.

The Yellowhammer really shines here, Delia! We have them in the garden more or less daily at the moment and we had none at this time last year so I hope their numbers are increasing.
