A Hawfinch, Melodious warblers and Honey buzzards seen on a four day trip to my grandparents house in France. Also I also had the pleasure of watching a bunch of nesting birds such as a pair of common redstarts that nested in the roof.

I picked up five lifers on a recent two day trip around eastern Kansas, USA. (I'm based in central Kansas). This also took my state list up to 312 out of the 460+ total for the state. So respectable but not super high.

I just found a European Bee-Eater flying South with Common Swifts over my college! No photos because the sighting lasted less than 15 seconds but a lot of diagnostic features seen well! Not what I was expecting on my way back to college at all!

I always forget this thread... British Isles tick Black-winged Kite in Norfolk on Wednesday! Distant, soaring, but a relief after a day dipping on Tuesday and overnight stay in Burnham Market.

Supporting cast of 3 Bee-eaters and a Long-billed Dowitcher, not to mention 4 Spoonbills and the usual Norfolk cast of shorebirds, wildfowl and raptors.
