what would your total be for the last 2 years combined? Don't know if that's easy to work out on ebird or wherever.

Last 2, 3 or n years is easy. Harder would be to figure out how many one has seen between 2019 and 2021 for example. Still, with exports and a bit of spreadsheet wigling it ought to be feasible too.

Well. Organised by Last Seen on eBird, I have seen/heard 3,267 species in 2023/2024 combined... Over 90% photographed I suspect.

My target for 2024 was to record over 1,500 species and I woke up this morning on 1,500 species exactly on current eBird taxonomy. Some obvious gaps locally but the easiest route to take was a grey hour at Slimbridge before meeting some old work colleagues in Bristol for lunch.

I am up against it trying to get my 2023 Photo Yearlist finished but will then be considering my 2025 goals.

Two 2025 trips in the diary so far - one of which is ambitious with at this stage no real grasp on my part of the expected bird list & the other is a shorter WP trip. I may need to work out my WP List & make a WP listing goal one of my 2025 goals.

All three egrets on patch today including 20+ Cattle Egrets & at least a dozen Goosander. Mainly thinking about 1st January onwards rather than looking for anything new before that... Little Egret pic from 22nd December which was nicer weather.
