Just another...observer
Fairy Prion in transit between the Falklands and Ushuaia.
That's a shame, but even so it's a spectacular picture.Just alerting everyone that this bird ended up being a hybrid, so it’s actually not a lifer.
Paul, great trip,A Thailand trip for 12 days between 6th & 17th November to Khao Yai National Park, Kaeng Krachan National Park & Laem Phak Bia with a friend led by the incomparable Wich'yanan Limparungpatthanakij ('Jay') yielded a trip list of 366 species of which more than 200 were lifers for me & in excess of 300 were photographed. Trip report in preparation. The last heard tick was Yellow-eyed Babbler & the last seen was Grey-breasted Prinia.

In short, I believe so, yes. Longer bill, paler legs & whiter face (and in addition broader wing bar).Armenian Gull, Cyprus
Paul, great trip,
are White-faced Plovers even do'able in winter plumage?
I am a great fan of the FIS Skiing and have recently been watching the early season races in the USA (from the UK on Eurosport) and have seen my 'dream' bird twice during the races. Clarks Nutcracker, certainly a 'Lifer' for me.Middle spotted woodpecker. A rarity in Denmark.
Nothing wrong in having a “seen on TV programmes” list!!I am a great fan of the FIS Skiing and have recently been watching the early season races in the USA (from the UK on Eurosport) and have seen my 'dream' bird twice during the races. Clarks Nutcracker, certainly a 'Lifer' for me.
Sad, I know.
