Overview
Part of a ridge of hills on the north side of the river Tay at Perth.
The habitat consists of mixed broad-leaved trees (Beech, Oak, Birch, Rowan and Scots Pine)
Birds
Notable Species
Most of the normal woodland birds are present, including both Green Woodpecker and Great Spotted Woodpecker. All the common Tit species and Goldcrest.
Raptors include Common Buzzard, Sparrowhawk and Kestrel.
Tawny Owl has been reported there.

Other Wildlife
Grey Squirrel and Red Squirrel can be seen and there are signs of Moles everywhere.

The viewpoint is an excellent place to watch for raptors.
Access and Facilities
From the north bridge in Perth turn up towards Murray Royal Hospital. Follow this road, as it swings right and just on the point of the end of the 30 mph sign turn right into Corsie Road. Then follow the signs for the Woodland Walks. There are parking bays on the left hand side and a car park in the Quarry.
There are many trails and footpaths through the woods.
