Taxonomy
Parulidae is a family in the Order Passeriformes.
The genus Granatellus was formerly included here but is now placed whithin the Cardinalidae. Also Yellow-breasted Chat, Wrenthrush, the Cuban Warblers (Yellow-headed Warbler and Oriente Warbler) and two species from Hispaniola (White-winged Warbler and Green-tailed Warbler) are now placed in their own families.
